Republicans Circle The Wagons On Democrats’ ‘Sanctuary’ Cities

Another day, another Democrat disaster.

This time, the disaster pertains to De Blasio’s parting “gift” to New York City, notably his decision to allow at least 800,000 citizens to vote in local elections.

In case you’re wondering how in the heck AOC managed to become elected, moves like De Blasio’s certainly explain why.

Most astonishingly of all, Mr. De Blasio, who is hilariously angling for a gubernatorial run in New York, has admitted to having “mixed feelings” about his approval, given that the decision just might be technically illegal.

Which, of course, would make De Blasio a perfect candidate to follow in Cuomo’s crime-ridden footsteps.

“I have mixed feelings. I’ve been very open about this law, and I think there are big legal questions, but I also respect the City Council. They made a decision.” [Source: Fox News]

Ah, how convenient. Automatically displacing the blame on City Council when De Blasio’s little plot inevitably blows up in his face.

While De Blasio may claim to have “mixed feelings,” so-called “Representative” Hakeem Jeffries certainly does not, especially if that means more noncitizens’ votes to line his coffers.

“The legislation that passed the city council would permit legal permanent residents to be able to vote in municipal elections …And the law permits a city to make that determination. We, of course, exist in a system of federalism. New York City has made that determination. It’s a determination that I fully support.” [Source: Fox News]

How convenient that Democrats drum up “federalism” when it suits their (illegal) purposes. They should also keep the same federalism in mind when they flood red states with illegals while simultaneously expecting the same states to essentially put all their residents on house arrest.

Needless to say, Republicans’ feelings aren’t “mixed” at all when it comes to permitting noncitizens to vote.

Amazing how unmixed one’s feelings become when law and order tend to comprise first-order priorities.

Senator Marco Rubio (FL) was one of the first to weigh in on De Blasio’s disastrous decision, indicating his intentions to pass legislation to defund lawbreaking cities.

“No city which allows non-U.S. citizens to vote should receive U.S. government funds … Next week I am going to file a bill to make that the law.” [Source: Newsmax]

Representative Jeff Duncan (SC) quickly joined alongside Rubio, reminding Democrats of the difference between a “citizen” and a “resident.”

“Look forward to working with you on this effort, @marcorubio. I filed HR 93 on this issue in January because I agree, voting in the US is a right reserved for American citizens.” [Source: Newsmax]

Republicans are certainly on a roll in terms of getting the Democrats to adhere to basic law and order.

They’re also on a roll in terms of preventing Marxist indoctrination centers (otherwise known as “public schools” and “universities”) from teaching young people to loathe America, loathe liberty, and loathe pretty much anything else that isn’t aligned with the approval of the Democrats’ Chinese paymasters.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently proclaimed that he intends to pass legislation that blocks funding to any K-12 or “higher education” institute from receiving taxpayer funds, which would pretty much cut off funding to virtually every university.

“Our legislation would defund any money from K-12 to higher ed going to CRT … I view the wokeness as a form of cultural Marxism … They want to tear at the fabric of our society and our culture, really things we’ve taken for granted, like the ability of parents to direct the upbringing of their kids.” [Source: Newsmax]

Heck, some universities have entire specializations in “Critical Race Theory,” which would surely disqualify them.

And given how insanely greedy universities have become, perhaps administrators will think twice before letting ultra-Marxist, anti-American professors run the show.

DeSantis’s proposed legislation is even more critically important when considering that CRT has become a major league moneymaker for some.

“This has become a cottage industry — the CRT … People making huge amounts of money … They basically will get tens of thousands of dollars to go in and do a training, sometimes in schools, sometimes in business, basically saying ‘Okay, pay me $50,000 so I can teach your employees how racist capitalism is.” [Source: Newsmax]

In the spirit of BLM, another fervently anti-American agenda rises to follow …

It’s just a real shame that half the nation’s so-called representatives have chosen to ally with such terrible forces.
