Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire: Fauci Faces Major Backlash For Deception

Remember Fauci’s self-righteous indignation this past spring, notably when he was interrogated about U.S. taxpayer dollars contributing to the “gain-of-function” research that led straight to an ongoing global pandemic?

If not, here is a brief recap of Fauci’s rather crystal clear assertions.

“[NIH] has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.” [Source: Breitbart]

Needless to say, Senator Rand Paul, who has long called out Fauci for his malfeasance, openly told Fauci he was lying, which resulted in a rather furious response from the nation’s supposed top medical advisor.

“I have never lied before the Congress, and I do not retract that statement … You do not know what you are talking about quite frankly, and I want to say that officially.” [Source: Fox News]

Well, based on a letter from the NIH itself to House Oversight Committee ranking member James Comer, Fauci may rue the day that he explicitly stated he has “never lied” in front of Congress.

“The limited experiment described in the final progress report provided by EcoHealth Alliance was testing if spike proteins from naturally occurring bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse model …

In this limited experiment, laboratory mice infected with the SCH014 WIV1 bat coronavirus became sicker than those infected with the W1V1 bat coronavirus. As sometimes occurs in science, this was an unexpected result of the research.” [Source: Twitter]

In other words, the NIH unequivocally admitted to not only funding gain-of-function research, but also funding the very type of virus that would come to cripple the planet (i.e., coronaviruses).

Needless to say, Paul’s response was rather concise, as Fauci’s brazen public deception truly buggers belief.

“‘I told you so’ doesn’t even begin to cover it.” [Source: Breitbart]

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), who has been an open critic of the Afghanistan withdrawal, also expressed extreme frustration with Fauci’s continued impunity.

“Fauci knew. He should be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” [Source: Breitbart]

Not only did Fauci know the entire time that the NIH had provided massive funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, but he very well may have predicted such a pandemic occurring in the first place …

Back in 2012.

Just consider his rather frightening commentary below.

“In an unlikely but conceivable turn of events, what if that scientist becomes infected with the virus, which leads to an outbreak and ultimately triggers a pandemic?

Many ask reasonable questions: given the possibility of such a scenario – however remote – should the initial experiments have been performed and/or published in the first place, and what were the processes involved in this decision? Scientists working in this field might say – as indeed I have said – that the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks.”

Wow, remarkable. Turns out that Fauci’s doomsday scenario wasn’t so “unlikely” after all.

And if anyone is wondering why Fauci’s open predictions of a pandemic in 2012 did not make more waves …

Well, it doesn’t take a surgeon to think about other events occurring at the same time.

The 2012 presidential elections, for a start, and since Fauci was still an effective nobody at that point in time, few paid attention to what would prove to be one of the most eerie “predictions” in the years to come.

On top of that, it is also rather galling that Fauci made these remarks while Obama was president.

Obama’s hatred of the United States has long been clear, but perhaps even the most sinister of critics did not (yet) perceive him as potentially capable of turning a blind eye to the weaponization of viruses in China … especially those funded by American taxpayers.

The same taxpayers that are now imprisoned by COVID lockdown measures caused by gain-of-function research in the first place!

A function was gained all right … in that the government instantly adopted all types of new authoritarian functions to crush its citizens with, all under the guise of “public health.”

And what better spokesperson than a flip-flopping Fauci, who spends more time preening for the cameras than coming up with a viable solution to the mess he bears direct responsibility in creating.

Fortunately, the fabricated image of Fauci is being slowly deconstructed, as writer Sharri Markson reveals in her book, What Really Happened In Wuhan.

“Fauci’s public persona as a cautious, careful medical professional is contradicted by his central role in kickstarting exceptionally fraught gain-of-function research in the United States after the ban introduced in the Obama era, along with his role in funding coronavirus research in China in unsafe laboratories. Laboratories that intelligence agencies suspect may have sparked the pandemic.” [Source: Fox News]

Precisely.

No one truly “cautious” would ever be so gung ho about high-risk gain-of-function research … especially in China.
