Kamala Makes Her Most Outrageous Statement To Date

Based on the melodrama displayed by both the president and vice president yesterday, it is difficult to say who gave a more odious performance: Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.

After all, speeches from both “leaders” were heavy on division and soft on unity, and of course neither speech exhibited even a semblance of accountability.

In addition, both speeches were also laden with hyperboles, or exaggerations so grotesque that they literally bugger belief from any reasonable audience.

Clearly, however, neither Biden nor Harris was addressing a reasonable audience, nor were they addressing an audience that is remotely well-versed in history.

Just consider Harris’s rather astonishing comparison below, which, believe it or not, actually is not a joke.

“Certain dates echo throughout history … Including dates that instantly remind all who have lived them where they were and what they were doing when our democracy came under assault. Dates that occupy not only a place on our calendar but a place in our collective memory. Dec. 7, 1941, Sept. 11, 2001, and Jan. 6, 2021.” [Source: Fox News]

So, January 6 will now “echo throughout history” to the same degree that Pearl Harbor and the 9/11 terrorist attacks will? Gee, in how many different ways could this statement be wildly inaccurate?

As it turns out, quite a few different ways!

First off, Pearl Harbor initiated the United States’ entry into World War II whereas 9/11 initiated the nation’s entry into the War on Terror … whereas the events of January 6, 2021, initiated little, aside from the most militarized presidential swearing in ceremony in history.

Something suggests that events leading to full-scale war will “echo” more than the events of January 6.

Secondly, as far as democracy coming under “assault?” Harris is front and center of one of the most power-hungry administrations in history, which means that she has limited, if any room, to talk about undermining democracy.

Insanely, Harris’s comparison appears to have been directly ripped off from none other than Nancy Pelosi, at least in part, as Pelosi has long likened January 6 to 9/11.

“To protect our security, our security, our security, our next step will be to establish an outside, independent 9/11-type Commission to ‘investigate and report on the facts and causes relating to the January 6, 2021 domestic terrorist attack upon the United States Capitol Complex.” [Source: USA Today]

Despite Pelosi’s impassioned outrage, journalist Debra Burlingame demonstrates genuine outrage at the comparison between January 6 and 9/11, which is evident in a vastly more persuasive Wall Street Journal editorial.

“These two events are fundamentally different in nature, scope and consequences. Mentioning them in the same breath not only diminishes the horror of what happened on 9/11; it tells a false story to the generation of Americans who are too young to remember that day nearly 20 years ago.” [Source: The Wall Street Journal]

Amen.

Clearly, Burlingame is vastly more aware of the relative degree of seriousness in each circumstance, and comparing January 6 to 9/11 is not only wildly inaccurate, but it is obscenely offensive.

Like the rest of Harris’s speech, which suddenly demonstrates concern with “lawlessness.”

“On Jan. 6 we all saw what our nation would look like if the forces who seek to dismantle our democracy are successful: the lawlessness, the violence, the chaos … What what was at stake then and now is the right to have our future decided they way that the Constitution describes it: by we, the people.” [Source: Fox News]

In case you’re wondering just how limited Harris’s self-awareness may be, this speech should leave absolutely no doubt in your mind.

After all, Harris literally condemns the same lawlessness that helped her get elected in the first place. Always on the side of the criminal and never on the side of police, Harris is precisely why “smash and grab” robberies, not to mention grossly escalated homicides, began occurring when Biden took over.

Continuing to demonstrate a complete lack of self-awareness, Harris reaches new melodramatic heights when she attempts to mimic a sage, albeit poorly.

“I wonder, how will Jan. 6 will be remembered in the years ahead? Will it be remembered as a moment that accelerated the unraveling of the oldest, greatest democracy in the world, or a moment when we decided to secure and strengthen our democracy for generations to come?” [Source: Fox News]

Let’s get one thing straight: That “unraveling” commenced with Biden, and one can only hope that the nation is not totally unraveled by the 2022 midterms.

One thing is for sure: The nation is being tested like never before, which even Harris recognizes, albeit from a different angle.

“The American spirit is being tested … The answer to whether we will meet that test resides where it always has resided in our country: with you.” [Source: Fox News]

Well, that was a speech totally devoid of inspiration to commence 2022, not to mention a totally insulting speech in terms of the comparison between January 6 and 9/11.
