Disney Gives Woke Exec The Boot

Apparently, Disney finally received the message that most Americans are generally uncomfortable at the thought of children as young as kindergarteners being subjected to gender ideology in public schools.

Specifically, the corporation has now fired an executive that has been openly in support of teachers’ alleged right to indoctrinate students as young as five years old about the LGBTQ cause, in particular the transgender component.

The now-former Chairman of General Entertainment, Peter Rice, has long been an outspoken advocate of this type of elementary school curriculum, which is precisely why he openly, and in hindsight, unwisely, attacked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for daring to protect children from being subjected to an extremist ideology regarding sexuality.

DeSantis, who passed a parental rights education bill banning the discussion of gender identity and other inappropriate sexual topics in elementary school, was shredded as a governor who willfully engages in a “violation of fundamental human rights,” according to Rice.

Media outlets have scrambled to provide another take on Rice’s abrupt termination, arguing that Rice had ostensibly been “high in the rumor mill” as the executive who might supplant current CEO Bob Chapek, who was also rumored to possibly resign.

However, Chapek received a vote of confidence from the Disney board, protecting his status as chief executive at this point in time.

Chairman of the Board Susan Arnold remarked that Chapek had kept Disney economically afloat during the pandemic, which is “a testament” to the CEO’s leadership.

Allies of Rice did not take the news well, proclaiming that the highly partisan executive is apparently “one of the best executives in town” and that Disney will apparently suffer “a big, big loss” in firing him.

“I can’t imagine why Chapek would do this, other than feeling threatened by all the rumor of Peter and Kareem being people who could take his job,” a Rice ally anonymously raged to Deadline.
