Desperate Dem Self-Destructs In New Ad

Over the course of the pandemic, California, along with New York, suffered a massive exodus of residents fed up with rising crime and woke policies that achieve nothing more than failed virtue signaling.

However, the outflow of residents has proven to be highly beneficial to red states.

The extent of the outflow was so significant that both California and New York have succeeded in losing, and blue states’ loss quickly translated into red states’ gain.

Both Texas and Florida have gained electoral seats courtesy of California and New York, respectively, much to the rage of embattled California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Which may explain why he launched ill-advised, albeit desperate, attack ads on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is widely rumored to run for president in 2024 should former President Donald Trump opt not to run.

Amusingly, these ads have achieved little more than laughter and bemusement, given the principal purpose of the ads: urging Floridians to relocate from a largely free state to the notoriously lockdown-happy land of California.

Needless to say, the COVID measures alone undertaken by Newsom, coupled with his complete and total hypocrisy, are enough to turn most individuals off from moving westward.

Even barring the lockdowns and borderline communist governance, California features a number of other unattractive characteristics, relative not just to Florida, but most of the nation’s other states.

For starters, California bears the dubious honor of having the highest income tax rate of all 50 states, standing at an eye-watering 13.3 percent, as opposed to Florida’s 0 percent.

Unsurprisingly, California ranks near the bottom of all 50 states in terms of cost of living.

Economic factors aside, the state is also well known for violent riots, “smash and grab” robberies, widespread homeless encampments, prolific drug use, and a completely porous border that actively encourages illegal immigration, much of which is motivated by the desire to pervert local, state, and national elections.

Recently, Starbucks announced it was shuttering several stores across Los Angeles as the company is apparently unable to guarantee workers’ safety.

Between the high costs and high crime, it’s unclear how Newsom’s ads are expected to persuade anyone at all, aside from criminals looking for new territory.

As a result, DeSantis and his team are rather bemused by pitiable efforts to sway Floridians to leave sanity, freedom, and relatively reasonable cost of living for the cesspool that California has become.

In remarks to The Daily Wire, DeSantis spokesman Dave Abrams remarked that “[Floridians] pay no mind to the pathetic smear campaigns from the Democrats and their allies in the corporate media,” characterizing the ads as effective as “[lighting] a pile of cash on fire.”

“Pass the popcorn for his desperate attempt to win back the California refugees who fled the hellhole he created in his state to come to Florida,” Abrams remarked drily.
