The Biden administration messed with the wrong governor.
In its apparently never-ending quest to make America as restricted as possible, the Biden admin has openly waged verbal warfare against governors who dare to stand on the side of freedom, including Governor Abbott of Texas and Governor DeSantis of Florida.
For instance, Ms. Psaki was gloating about the fact that Florida is apparently experiencing a resurgence in COVID, apparently unable to resist insulting DeSantis in the process.
“23% of new COVID hospitalizations in the U.S are in Florida, and their hospitals are being overwhelmed again … We are doing everything we can to help the people of FL, and they’re stepping up by getting vaccinated – we hope @GovRonDeSantis joins us in this fight.” [Source: The Daily Wire]
Apparently, Ms. Psaki missed the memo regarding the fact that a significant percentage of illegal migrants are barreling straight towards Florida, which would certainly explain why hospitals might become “overwhelmed.”
However, DeSantis certainly didn’t forget, and he fired straight back at the Biden administration during a fiery press conference on Wednesday.
“Why don’t you do your job? Why don’t you get this border secure? And until you do that, I don’t wanna hear a blip about COVID from you, thank you.” [Source: Fox News]
Now those are questions that reporters should be allowed to ask Biden. Too bad they apparently have to receive approval “in advance” to ask Biden anything, as if that were not one of the most damning commentaries yet on Biden’s less than stellar performance
The presidential performance is particularly suboptimal when taking into account Biden’s bold claims made on COVID, including the fact that his administration would apparently stop the virus.
Instead, Biden has literally opened the door to a faster transmission of the virus, which DeSantis also noted.
“This is a guy who ran for office saying he’s going to shut down the virus … And what has he done? He’s imported more virus from around the world by having a wide open southern border.” [Source: Fox News]
Unfortunately, the “wide open southern border” is importing a whole lot more than deadly virus variants, but also a wide range of crime and tragedy.
Sheriff Martinez of Brooks County, Texas, which has seen a 300 percent increase in in migrant deaths over the past year, also warned about COVID-positive migrants weeks ago, especially since many of them can apparently head wherever they’d like upon crossing the border.
“COVID is still out there, very much alive … Okay, so all these getaways, all these other people are coming in that being tested. We don’t know which direction to go in going into the states. it’s going to harm the United States. It’s going to harm our country so we need to be careful.” [Source: Breitbart]
Interestingly, Martinez’s remark above was delivered to none other than Trump, who was more proactive about visiting the border than “Border Czar” Kamala.
Not to mention far more proactive about virtually all responsibilities he had as president, including the basic tenets of national security.
Apparently, the Biden admin can’t be bothered to engage with law enforcement, border patrol, and a host of other entities that suffers the most dangerous impacts of Biden’s policies.
Instead, they’d rather turn their attention away from the border mess they’ve created and fixate on leaders that actually have a clue, like DeSantis.
Which is precisely why Christina Pushaw, DeSantis’s press secretary, issued a fiery retort to Psaki’s sniping.
“By dismissively ignoring Governor DeSantis’ efforts to protect vulnerable Floridians, Psaki is the one playing politics with the pandemic …
The White House should be more concerned about the flip-flopping of the CDC, which is inadvertently promoting vaccine hesitancy with their confusing, contradictory public communications. Stating that vaccinated people should wear masks and socially distance is implying that the vaccines do not change anything, which is the wrong message for our federal government to be promoting.” [Source: Fox News]
Not to mention the flip-flopping of Fauci, who has a disturbingly vested interest in the Wuhan laboratory in China, one that has warranted at least one criminal referral thus far.
Ultimately, at the heart of the matter is a debate between liberty and tyranny, which DeSantis precisely illuminated.
“Give me a break … the question is we either have a free society, or we can have a biomedical security state.” [Source: Breitbart]
No wonder a Trump-DeSantis ticket is the most appealing options for 2024 …
