DeSantis Bravely Defends The Rights Of All Parents

School boards can dish it out, but they sure can’t take it.

After pummeling parents with mask mandates, non-science school closures, and apparently vaccine mandates based on the latest and greatest from Newsome in California, school boards are apparently angry that parents dare to question them on teaching hate, racism, “white privilege,” and a whole host of unsavory sexual content.

Many parents have become quite vocal at school board meetings, indicating exactly how they feel about the present state of affairs.

The school boards’ response?

Labeling the parents domestic terrorists.

And while the above may seem absolutely insane, just consider the even more insane commentary that comes directly from

“As these acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased, the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes …

Additionally, NSBA requests that such review examine appropriate enforceable actions against these crimes and acts of violence under the PATRIOT Act in regards to domestic terrorism.” [Source: NSBA]

So, in other words, the NSBA wants parents treated the same way potential 9/11 terrorists are treated.

How unifying.

AG Merrick Garland was quick to leap to the leftist organization’s demands, promptly forming a task force to deal with “domestic terrorists,” otherwise known as parents.

“In recent months, there has been a disturbing trend in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff who participate in the vital work of running our nation’s public schools …

Threats against public servants are not only illegal, they run counter to our nation’s core values. Those who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring that our children receive a proper education in a safe environment deserve to be able to do their work without fear for their safety.” [Source: Department of Justice]

Given the onslaught of LGBTQ and gender activism, not to mention CRT and BLM, public schools have a funny way of defining a “proper education.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has already blasted Garland’s move for exactly what it is: a weaponization of the DOJ against parents.

“Attorney General Garland is weaponizing the DOJ by using the FBI to pursue concerned parents and silence them through intimidation … Florida will defend the free speech rights of its citizens and will not allow federal agents to squelch dissent.” [Source: Fox News]

Senator Josh Hawley also interrogated Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco about Garland’s stance, pointing out the astonishing precedent that it sets.

“[Are you] aware of any time in American history when an attorney general has directed the FBI to begin to intervene in local school board meetings?

I’m not aware of anything like this in American history. We’re talking about the FBI — you’re using the FBI to intervene in school board meetings … This is wrong, this is dangerous, and I cannot believe that an Attorney General of the United States is engaging in this kind of conduct.” [Source: Townhall]

Hilariously, Garland claims that the DOJ is committed to protecting “all people” across the nation.

“The Department is steadfast in its commitment to protect all people in the United States from violence, threats of violence, and other forms of intimidation and harassment.” [Source: Department of Justice]

Hm. That’s a nice sentiment.

Too bad it isn’t felt by Asra Nomani, who is the Vice President of Investigations and Strategy at Parents Defending Education.

“I am what a domestic terrorist looks like? [Source: Fox News]

If the DOJ’s efforts intends to protect “all people,” then why exactly is it labeling conservative parents as domestic terrorists?

Assuming, of course, that the DOJ considers conservatives to be people …
