2021 was a devastating year for more reasons than one, starting with the inexplicable ascension of Joe Biden to the Oval Office at the start of the year.
That ascension was followed by a series of unfortunate events for the nation as a whole, including dozens of “America Last” executive orders, an astonishing increase in inflation, and an utterly disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan just before the 20-year anniversary of 9/11/01.
Now, 2021 is marked by another devastating circumstance, notably a record high number of on-duty officer deaths.
While several of these deaths were attributed to COVID, a significant percentage of deaths were also attributed to “felonious” causes, undoubtedly originating from felons fully on-board with various “Defund Police” movements.
The likelihood of “Defund Police” playing a major role in felons’ terrible attitudes becomes even more likely when considering the type of “felonious” assault occurring the most frequently: unprovoked attacks.
According to the FBI, unexpected ambushes continue to impact on-duty law enforcement officers to a much greater degree than other forms of assault.

Needless to say, criminals are feeling rather emboldened under the new and unimproved Biden and Harris regime. In addition, criminals also feel especially emboldened when they perceive no real consequences for their actions, as observed by
Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore.
“There are individuals in communities that look at that as a lack of consequences, a lack of deterrence and open season in which to go and commit these types of crimes … The crisis during COVID, while well-intended, the impact it had on the criminal justice system was significant and severe that it’s developing another crisis in public safety.” [Source: Fox News]
It’s been “open season” ever since the Democrats unwisely decided to ally themselves with BLM, one of the more violent lobbying groups to influence the swamp in recent memory.
Too bad that the swamp is largely sequestered with private security while Americans pay the real consequences for “Defund Police,” including patriotic police officers who tragically fall in the line of duty.
Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney observes that the numbers and the news stories regarding law enforcement are highly demoralizing, especially as they continue to progress on a downward trend.
“It’s terrible to every morning get up and have to go look at the numbers and then look at the news and see the stories … It’s just crazy. It’s just crazy and this needs to stop.” [Source: Fox News]
The Biden administration’s constant deflection also needs to stop, which was on painfully full display when Fox News reporter Peter Doocy questioned Psaki on the real origins of the massive “smash and grab” robberies, which the White House hilariously blames on the pandemic.
“When a huge group of criminals organizes themselves and they want to go loot a store—a CVS, Nordstrom, a Home Depot—until the shelves are clean, you think that’s because of the pandemic?” [Source: The Daily Wire]
Amazingly, Psaki had the gall to declare that the pandemic is indeed the source of the mass looting unfolding across curiously Democrat-exclusive cities.
“I think the root cause in a lot of communities is the pandemic, yes.” [Source: The Daily Wire]
Who knew? Apparently stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of designer handbags is merely a normal response to the pandemic. At least in the Biden regime’s overtly crossed eyes.
Fortunately, not all states have descended into criminal free-for-alls, with Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida actively increasing, rather than decreasing, funds for police, including an attractive sign-on bonus for beleaguered officers from ultra-liberal cities.
“We’re actually actively working to recruit out-of-state law enforcement, because we do have needs in our police and our sheriff’s departments. So, in the next legislative session, I’m going to hopefully sign legislation that gives a $5,000 bonus to any out-of-state law enforcement that relocates in Florida …
So, NYPD, Minneapolis, Seattle, if you’re not being treated well, we will treat you better here. You can fill important needs for us, and we will compensate you as a result.” [Source: Breitbart]
Something suggests Governor DeSantis will endure fewer smash and grab robberies than the likes of Emperor Newsom in California …
