In spite of the fact that anyone with eyes (and ears) can observe Biden’s declining mental acuity, the president apparently remains dead set on running again for re-election in 2024.
Biden, who is currently 79 years old, would be well into his 80s by 2024, though that apparently does not faze the president at all.
Then again, given that Biden can spend the vast majority of his time hiding from the press, not to mention the American people, perhaps his schedule is not nearly as rigorous as that of his predecessor.
Which would explain Biden’s response to ABC News anchor David Muir regarding his 2024 reelection prospects.
“Yes, but look, I’m a great respecter of fate … Fate has intervened in my life many, many times. If I’m in the health I’m in now—if I’m in good health—then, in fact, I would run again.” [Source: Fox News]
Ok, so now “fate” will determine whether or not Biden will run again in 2024. That’s not at all uncertain or dubious, but perhaps Biden is attempting to ingratiate himself even more deeply with the ultra-woke types in California.
As far as being “in good health” is concerned, one would also question basic mental competence, as Biden routinely dodges questions from reporters, particularly real questions. On the rarer occasions that he bothers to make an appearance.
Muir also pressed Biden on whether or not he would run again if he knew that he would be facing off with Trump, which is when the president’s commentary became even more impassioned.
“You’re trying to tempt me now? Sure. Why would I not run against Donald Trump if he were the nominee? That would increase the prospect of running.” [Source: Fox News]
So, Trump’s potential run would “increase” Biden’s prospect of running? Has Biden not seen the numerous polls that show him at a distinct disadvantage in a theoretical matchup with Trump in 2024?
Or are polls also hidden from Biden’s views? Exactly what is he aware of and not aware of?
Moreover, since Biden basically ran on a campaign of supposedly ending the pandemic, it is not surprising that Muir questioned Biden on rather obvious deficiencies in his approach.
“Three days before Christmas, if you look out across the country, you see it everywhere, these long lines, people waiting for hours outside in the cold, just to get tested, to be reassured before they spend time with their family … If you go to the pharmacy, we hear this over and over again, empty shelves, no test kits. Is that a failure?” [Source: Fox News]
Biden stopped short of saying that his administration was responsible for “failure,” which is no surprise considering that the administration will not even acknowledge failure in terms of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
However, he did astonishingly admit that he could have taken action, “a month ago” or “six months ago.”
“I don’t think it’s a failure … I think it’s — you could argue that we should have known a year ago, six months ago, two months ago, a month ago.” [Source: Fox News]
Well, that’s a rather broad range of dates, but it’s right in line with Psaki’s absence of clarity.
Biden also weighed in on whether or not the nation would re-enter a major lockdown, to which he responded aggressively.
“Another question that folks are asking is: ‘Are we going back to March 2020?’…not this last March 2021, but March 2020 when the pandemic first hit. That’s what I keep getting asked … The answer to that is absolutely no.” [Source: OANN]
Well, that would be a great response to hear if Biden weren’t known for constantly flip flopping. After all, this is the same president who scoffed at vaccine mandates only to implement them, followed by scoffing over at-home COVID test only to encourage them, as he just did recently.
“I’m announcing today: The federal government will purchase one half billion — that’s not million; billion with a ‘B,’ additional at-home rapid tests, with deliveries starting in January … We’ll be getting these tests to Americans for free. And we’ll have websites where you can get them delivered to your home.” [Source: Townhall]
Well, that’s nice. Of course the Biden administration would want 500 million COVID tests distributed around the nation.
After all, a bunch of positive results would give the Dems all the most “justification” to argue for a mail-in election in 2022, 2024, and so forth …
Worst of all, Biden 2024 would mean yet another term of ultra-wokeness, which Elon Musk recently shredded as a movement of hate.
“Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation and hate, basically? At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful. It basically gives mean people a reason – it gives them a shield to be mean and cruel armoured in false virtue.” [Source: Townhall]
“Divisive, exclusionary, and hateful.”
